Parent Volunteers are a critical component to the success of our Swim Program. Parent volunteers are organized to recruit additional volunteers and to assist in raising funds to support and to maintain a quality Swim program at Diamond Bar High School. Parent Volunteers will raise money to provide funds for swim equipment, team gear, additional uniforms, etc. Parent Volunteers are proud to step up and to keep this swim program alive. With ongoing parental support, we can continue to provide an opportunity for our students to participate in a top qualifying program.
Encouragement: We encourage parents to support their children by participating in the swim program as a chaperone or volunteer. You can be also encourage your child by assisting them in maintaining their schedules; helping them attend all scheduled events and bringing them to the events on time. You should insure your child is properly hydrated, fed, and fueled. Additionally, you should verify they have all the required equipment/gear at their meets. Having a positive attitude and encouraging your child to be prepared is critical for an outstanding experience in the program.
Swim Gear: Responsible for fitting all students in swim suits; maintain other swim gear (towels, t-shirts, etc)
Telephone & Email Alerts: Has phone numbers of all swim students and parents; passes on information about upcoming events, such as: meetings, fundraisers, emergencies, and schedule changes.
Volunteer Coordinator: Recruits all swim parents to fill volunteer positions for all fundraisers and events.
Bingo: Recruits from the swim parents to fill the necessary positions for the Bingo fundraisers throughout the year.
Snack bar: During all home swim meets, we run a snack bar to provide access to food and drinks to our students and guests. Parents donate the food and supplies that we sell and use at the snack bar. The donation is strictly voluntary. We also need snack bar helpers to set-up, prepare food, sell, and cleanup. If you would like to volunteer your time and donate goods, please contact the parent coordinators at [email protected]. We use SignUpGenius.com to manage the volunteers and donations. Be on the look out for the invitation to signup.
Swim Banquet: Activities include identifying and securing date and location of the event and overseeing the activities at the banquet so that it runs smoothly. Coordinating how many students attend the event.
Times: At all home meets, we encourage parent support. Please come to swim meets and cheer your students one. The best seat in the house for cheering is a timers chair. We need to fill 18 timing chairs for all home meets.
