Education:
I am a graduate of Diamond Bar High School Class of 1999.
I earned a BA in Psychology from the University of California Santa Barbara.
I earned an Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology from the University of Toledo.
 
What I do:
This is my 4th year as the Intervention Counselor at Diamond Bar High School. My main job focus is to help all students be successful at Diamond Bar High School. I work with students both in and out of special programs. I am often contacted by teachers, parents, GLC’s or students to be part of a team that finds solutions for a student in need. I am lucky to be a part of a staff that has come up with so many ways to help students be successful long before I started this job. That being said, there are many places for a student to find help at Diamond Bar High School. A list of programs, tutoring options and help is given on my, “Academic Support” web page. Not only do I work to support students academically, I also help GLC’s, teachers, and parents to help a student with emotional needs. This includes students who are having difficulties with organization, motivation, attention and behavior. GLC’s, teachers, parents, and students can contact me with concerns. Again this is a team effort in which the GLC, parent, student, and I come up with solutions for a student whose emotional needs are getting in the way of school success.
