Grades

  • All grades are based on a standard percentage scale

100 – 90    A

89 – 80     B

79 – 70    C

69 – 60    D

59- below F

Tests

  • Tests will be given every other Friday and will be worth 1000 points.
  • No credit will be given to those students who do not show their work.
  • If a student has an excused absence on the day of the test, they will be required to take a make-up test at the end of the six week grading period.
  • Students who are absent on the days leading up to the test will still be  required to take the test on the scheduled test date.
  • A student will receive a zero on their test if they are caught cheating.

 

Quizzes

  • Quizzes will be given every other Friday and will be worth 200 points.
  • No credit will be given to those students who do not show their work.
  • Students will not be allowed to make-up a quiz if absent (excused or unexcused) on the scheduled quiz date. However, the students lowest quiz score will be dropped at the end of the semester.
  • Students who are absent on the days leading up to the quiz will still be required to take the quiz on the scheduled quiz day.
  • A student will receive a zero on their quiz if they are caught cheating.

 

Homework

  • Homework will be given daily and is worth 100 points
  • No credit will be given to those students who do not show their work.
  • No credit will be given to those students who do not follow the format.
  • Students are to do all homework assignments in pencil.
  • Students who have an excused absence will have as many days as they are absent to turn in their work.
  • No late work is accepted.

 

Extra Credit

  • Extra credit will be given periodically throughout the semester.
  • Mrs. Baiz reserves the right to give up to 2% extra credit at the end of the semester to those students who have displayed effort, improvement, cooperation, and a great attitude in the classroom.

 

Cheating

  • Cheating is unacceptable.
